HOW MUCH DOES THE TRAILER WEIGH?

  • For the MPS Elite model, approx 660-700kg, depending on the options added. A standard 6 x 4 trailer is 300kg

WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE TRAILER?

  • 1.99m Wide (wide as standard aluminium ute tray) 4.8 m long ( not longer than your average car - ute length) 2.5 metres high (from ground to roofline ) (same as house ceiling height). With Air conditioner 2.85m

WHAT SIZE CAR DO I NEED TO TOW THE TRAILER?

  • Most cars are capable of towing the Savel Mobile Pet Salon. It is important to refer to your vehicle's manufacturer's manual for towing capacity and trailer ball loads.

IS THE TRAILER HARD TO REVERSE OR MANEOVRE?

  • The trailer has been set up, with the same system as a boat trailer, where the wheels are set further back, which gives ease of reversing and more controlled towing at highway speed. All trailers are rated to 110km’s per hour but it is recommended that you travel no more than 90km's per hour while towing your trailer.

IS IT EASY TO MAINTAIN?

  • Our first objective when we first built this trailer was to reduce Groomer fatigue, therefore the cleaning of the trailer is easy due to the moulded surfaces. The Savel Mobile Pet Salon is the only fibreglass grooming trailer with a moulded interior so hair doesn't stick to the walls. Savel Mobile Pet Salons are quick and easy to hose out at the end of the day, and an attractive, hygienic environment to present to clients.

CAN I BUY JUST TRAILER SHELL AND ADD MY OWN EQUIPTMENT?

  • Savel Mobile Pet Salons are a complete, standardised unit. Due to warranty implications it would be unwise and unfair of us to allow clients to later add items which may void their warranty or compromise the structural integrity of the trailer.

CAN I ADD SAVEL OPTIONS TO THE TRAILER AT A LATER DATE?

  • yes, if we are aware of your future plans we can put structures in place to cater for your specific needs.

ARE THERE WATER TANKS? CAN WATER TANKS BE FITTED?

  • Yes, we can fit water tanks, but overall water tanks are generally not very economical. Some things to consider: weight: every litre of water approximates 1kg which in turn increases fuel consumption, refilling: refilling at home is more expensive than ever with water rates increasing and finding a client who is willing to let you refill at their home can be time consuming and difficult, time: over the course of the day it is more time efficient to connect and disconnect your hose a few times rather than waiting for a large tank to fill up.

 


AS THE INTERIOR HYDROBATH IS MOUdLED, HOW DO I ACCESS THE HYDROBATH PUMP IF NEEDED?

  • Through serviceman’s access panels.

HOW BIG ARE THE HYDROBATH TANKS?

  • Holding tank: 15 litres Wash Tank: 18 litres Savel Hydrobaths are under the QLD Water commission guidelines and are classed as Water Efficient. The Wash tank can use a minimum of 5 litres for a small dog.

HOW LONG DOES THE WATER TAKE TO HEAT?

  • Depending on time of day and seasonal climate, generally around 5 mins from cold water, after that usually less due to the autofill system. For the most part by the time you have done the “Meet & Greet” with Fluffy etc, the bath is ready to go, because the water has started heating the minute you plugged the trailer into the power source. Then during the day due to the autofill system, the water reheats very quickly.

  • We can organise freight to most locations in Australia.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MANUFACTURE MY SAVEL MOBILE PET SALON?

  • Savel Mobile Pet Salons take approx 4-5 weeks to be fully completed from start date to finish date. We find our customers are happy to wait because they know that they are getting the best mobile grooming salon available on the market. This gives our customers time to organise suppliers and plan their business strategies so that they can hit the road running! Lead time really depends on the number of trailers that are already on order.
